Martin Pousson

Martin Pousson Martin Pousson was born and raised in Acadiana, in the bayouland of Louisiana. His first novel, No Place, Louisiana, was published by Riverhead Books and was a finalist for the John Gardner Award in fiction. His first collection of poetry, Sugar, was published by Suspect Thoughts Press and was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. His stories, poems, and essays have appeared in StoryQuarterly, Epoch, Parnassus, Rattling Wall, ISLE: Oxford Journals, Icon, Transfer, Cocktail, The Louisiana Review, The New Delta Review, Verse Daily, New Orleans Review, Gay City Anthology, Love, Bourbon Street, Intersection and Cimarron Review. He currently teaches at California State University, Northridge and is at work on a collection of short stories, The Nerves.
