Lusine Makarosyan

Lusine Makarosyan At a young age Lusine Makarosyan discovered her love of poetry through the works of Shakespeare and Poe, but never dreamed to treat her own writing as anything more than a hobby to be relished in solitude, until she won a D.A.R.E. essay contest in the sixth grade. In her writing Lusine aspires to possess language which provokes and imagery that haunts and is often inspired by human grief and our ability to endure it. Her work was recently published in the Northridge Review and she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Cal State Northridge in Southern California. Lusine also happens to be an excellent “juggler” as she juggles school and writing with her roles as wife and mother of two, and savors every day in the beautiful chaos that is her life.
